Tomorrow Tattoo is a tattoo shop founded in Athens, GA by married partners and Five Points residents Lenny and Val, the two sides of the Tomorrow name. Lenny heads up the tattoo side of the operation, while Val creates stained glass art featured in the shop as Tomorrow Glass.
About the art
Tomorrow Tattoo prides itself in being able to tackle all reasonable style requests thanks to years of experience that make us one of the most experienced shops in the southeast. Large or small tattoos, full sleeves or fine lines, reworks, cover-ups, bold American traditional tattoos, large Japanese-style tattoos, realism tattoos, portraits, biomech, tribal, full backpieces and more are available. No matter your taste, you’ll leave with a well-studied tattoo applied with care and attention.
Whether this is your first tattoo or your 100th, we greatly appreciate the opportunity to tattoo you!
where to park
We have several free public parking options around the shop. Surrounding businesses kindly share their parking spaces, but please avoid parking directly in front of the 5 Points Bottle Shop. For larger sessions, we recommend the free public options on Milledge Terrace, Milledge Circle, or the fire station (1-3 minute walk).

Our shop has two minimums: arms and legs start out at $100 & hands, neck, feet, and the torso typically start at $120. Fingers and behind-the-ear may start higher. This compensates the artist for those areas that the skin is more difficult to tattoo due to its texture, or areas that are harder to reach.
Pricing varies based on the piece, but most single-session tattoos will be priced before starting. You can always ask how much something will cost at any point in the process, it’s a valid question! Please let our artists know if you have a firm budget you would like to stay within at any point in the consultation process.
Larger tattoos are typically estimated first for the outline, and then filled in additional sessions as budget allows. An artist can let you know how much they can fill in each session for your specific budget if you let us know when you come in for your appointment.

All tattoo artists are licensed in Athens-Clarke County and are compliant with First Aid, CPR, and Public Health Bloodborne Pathogens Standard certifications. All of our tattoo supplies are individually wrapped single-use instruments. They are opened immediately before each tattoo and disposed of after. Some instruments require an autoclave which is inspected monthly by a third party for proper functioning. The entire tattoo area, including countertops and furniture, is sanitized with medical-grade sanitation products after each tattoo.

The minimum size for your tattoo is based on the design and what a professional artist can recommend. Because there is a natural dispersion process the ink goes through under the skin, our artists can suggest the minimum size they are comfortable tattooing your design. These recommendations are to help ensure the tattoo will stay as close to your intended design for as long as possible.

No, an exact picture isn’t required to get your idea across, but it’s helpful to show us anything you’ve seen that you really love! Often, just finding another tattoo picture that’s in a STYLE similar to what you’re looking for is really helpful. Then our artists can draw an appropriate image to fit the location based on your style idea.
It’s also fine to just start with a description of what you’d like to see, but it’s often much easier to discuss ideas in person so we can ask some important questions about the idea.
Walk-in consultations are welcome during our open hours, but there may be a wait. Feel free to call/text/email ahead to schedule a specific consultation appointment.

Almost certainly, yes! Since the most successful cover-ups work with the existing tattoo, it’s a good idea for the wearer to start with an idea that they’d like to see in that area if they could start completely over (even if its just the same idea but bigger/better). If you approach the process with an open mind, we should be able to come to a great solution on how to fix up your tattoo.
Since tattoo ink is transparent and not opaque, some ideas are not possible to cover-up or fix an existing tattoo. The most successful cover-ups/reworks are the ones that camouflage the old tattoo to the point where you can’t see many or any of the old lines underneath.

Almost all places on the body include a free touch-up. Some areas that don’t are typically the hands, fingers, neck, feet, and behind the ear. Because the nature of the skin in these areas is very thin, we cannot guarantee that the linework will not heal up with missing spots or blowouts.

Black ink has the highest contrast with any skin tone. This is what keeps tattoos looking “readable” as we age, so we generally recommend all tattoos incorporate black outlines. Keep in mind we can use a very fine line if you have a concern about the tattoo being too “heavy” feeling.
Ultimately, black is the ink color that will show up most with your skin tone and will stay crisper-looking in the skin longer. For heavily detailed work, we strongly recommend a black outline, but we will make sure that you’re informed of the aging process so you can make the most informed decision for yourself.
