tOMORROW TATTOO AFTERCARE

To properly wash your tattoo: Wash hands first, then lather up your fingertips with a perfume-free soap and gently wash the tattoo with your fingertips to remove all lotion/fluid from the surface. Fluids on the skin usually look shiny and should be washed off so as to avoid heavy scabbing. Applying some pressure while rubbing is OK - Do not scrub with loofah or washcloth. Finally, pat dry with a clean towel or paper towel.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Leave bandage on for the recommended time by your artist, or until it comes loose on its own. Remove only in a location with clean, running water.

◦ Black pads: 2-18 hours. Remove before showering.

◦ Saniderm (a.k.a. “tagiderm," “second skin,” clear sticker): Leave on for up to 72 hours. Shower like normal, but avoid scrubbing over the bandage.

• If Saniderm comes loose, we recommend removing the bandage and immediately washing the tattoo in the manner described above for about 3-5 times per day, until you reach the 72-hour mark after receiving the tattoo.

OR

• If you have more saniderm at home, feel free to place a new piece overlapping the loose spot. You may also remove the bandage and wash/dry your tattoo before placing a new saniderm piece at least 1” larger than the tattoo to get you to the 72 hour mark.

To remove saniderm, peel up the top of your bandage, and pull back down over the tattoo moving parallel with your skin. Warm water/soap can help lift the adhesive more comfortably.

• Remove bandage after the recommended time above, or if you have moisture trapped under the bandage, or if you notice the skin becoming irritated.

• After 72 hours from receiving the tattoo, cut down washing to once in the morning and once at night for about 2 weeks.

• Once the bandage is off, apply a small amount of unscented moisturizer after each wash or if tattoo ever feels tight or dry. Rub the lotion into the skin like you would on your hands. Do not gob it on.

DON’T:

• Soak your tattoo or sweat excessively with the saniderm on

• Directly sunbathe/tan for 2 weeks after getting tattooed

• Pick, scratch, or repeat movements that irritate your tattoo
